Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, accessing, or using EmotionVerse (the "Service"), you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you must not use the Service.

You must be at least 13 years of age to use the Service. If you are between 13 and 18, you represent that you have your parent or guardian's permission to use the Service.

2. Description of Service

EmotionVerse is an emotional wellness application that provides AI-powered companion conversations, daily mood tracking, mood insights, and gamified companion interactions. The Service is provided for general wellness and self-reflection purposes only. Please read our Disclaimer regarding the limitations of the Service.

3. Account Registration

You may access the Service by signing in with Google or continuing as a guest. You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
• All activity that occurs under your account
• Providing accurate information when creating or updating your account
• Notifying us immediately of any unauthorised use at support@timeground.in

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law
• Harass, abuse, threaten, or harm others through the Service
• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the Service
• Use automated systems (bots, scrapers) to access the Service without permission
• Transmit viruses, malware, or other harmful code
• Impersonate any person or entity or misrepresent your affiliation
• Use the Service to generate content that is illegal, hateful, sexually explicit involving minors, or promotes violence or self-harm
• Circumvent any access restrictions or security measures
• Resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit the Service without written consent from Timeground LLP

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

5. AI-Generated Content

Responses from AI companions are generated by artificial intelligence and may be inaccurate, incomplete, or inappropriate. AI companions are fictional characters designed for emotional support and entertainment — they do not provide professional medical, psychological, psychiatric, or legal advice. You acknowledge that you use AI-generated content at your own discretion and risk.

6. User Content

You retain ownership of the content you submit through the Service (messages, mood entries, custom avatars). By submitting content, you grant Timeground LLP a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use, store, process, and display your content solely to provide and improve the Service, including processing through third-party AI providers as described in our Privacy Policy.

You represent that your content does not violate any third-party rights or applicable laws.

7. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, code, logos, built-in companion characters, and documentation, is owned by Timeground LLP and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without our prior written consent.

"EmotionVerse" and "Timeground" are trademarks of Timeground LLP. Unauthorised use is prohibited.

8. Third-Party Services

The Service integrates with third-party platforms including Firebase, Google Sign-In, and Google Gemini AI. Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms and policies. Timeground LLP is not responsible for third-party services.

9. Fees and Payments

EmotionVerse is currently offered free of charge. We reserve the right to introduce paid features or subscriptions in the future, with prior notice. 10. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE.

11. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, TIMEGROUND LLP, ITS PARTNERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIMS ARISING FROM THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR INR 1,000, WHICHEVER IS GREATER.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Timeground LLP from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.

13. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access at any time, with or without cause or notice, including for violation of these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will survive.

14. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in India. Before initiating legal proceedings, you agree to attempt to resolve disputes amicably by contacting contact@timeground.in.

15. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated by posting the updated Terms on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
